Launch of Felix Real Estate

February 2023

The Happy Workplace Group, Liberty Flexible Workspaces’ parent company, launched Felix Real Estate in February 2023.

Felix aims to enhance the commercial real estate market by helping landlords incorporate flexible spaces into their buildings and partnering with occupiers. Working closely with Liberty, Felix provides amenities to attract corporate occupiers and curates a pipeline of future tenants.

Felix also assists businesses, including Liberty’s clients, in navigating their commercial real estate journey, offering tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.

Launch of The Happy Workplace Group

February 2023

In February 2023, The Happy Workplace Group was formed, combining Felix Real Estate and Liberty Flexible Workspaces to support businesses at every stage of their journey.

This launch brought a reshuffle in the senior leadership team: Jamie Vine became Group Chief Executive, Paul Miller stepped up as Liberty’s new CEO, and Dan Clarke, who joined Liberty in January 2022, became Managing Partner of Felix.

Opening of 2 The Esplanade

November 2022

In November 2022, Liberty opened a newly refurbished facility on level 17 of the Exchange Tower.

This 40-storey building, located at the corner of Barrack Street and The Esplanade in Perth CBD, offers private offices, meeting cubicles, break-out spaces, a lounge, and two purpose-built meeting rooms. The location provides panoramic views of the Swan River, Elizabeth Quay, and other prominent landmarks.

Opening of 162 Grand Boulevard

October 2021

TThe new Liberty facility at 162 Grand Boulevard, opened in October 2021, features 34 private offices, coworking space, a lounge area, and two state-of-the-art boardrooms.

Located at a prominent junction in Joondalup, this space mirrors the design of Liberty’s other premier locations and supports both small businesses and larger corporates adopting hybrid work strategies.

10 Years Anniversary

July 2021

Liberty celebrated its 10th anniversary in July 2021, marking a decade since the opening of its first location in Perth. This milestone was achieved with the support of valued clients and partners.

Opening of Level 12, 197 St George's Terrace

August 2020

Liberty is situated at 197 St Georges Terrace a landmark in Perth amongst its peers in the CBD, located on the southwest corner of St Georges Terrace and Mill street.

In August 2020, Liberty opened its flagship location at Level 12, 197 St Georges Terrace. This state-of-the-art facility includes a 1200sqm Training & Conference Centre on the Ground Floor, complementing the private offices on Levels 12 and 14.

Partnership with StartUpWA

June 2021

In June 2021, Liberty partnered with StartUpWA, a non-profit organization promoting the startup industry in Western Australia. This collaboration supports WA’s vision to be a global hub for entrepreneurial and technology talent.

Opening of 1060 Hay Street

November 2018

Liberty West Perth, opened in November 2018, is located on level 3 of a superbly positioned building between Hay Street and Wellington Street. This facility features private serviced offices, meeting rooms, a business lounge, and extensive end-of-trip facilities.

Perth Angels Partnership

August 2018

Perth Angels formed in 2010 to bring together likeminded business people to expand their peer groups, networks and to encourage investment into the early stage entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Perth Angels is a destination that supports ethical and efficient investment in emerging local business ventures. Perth Angels is a ‘for-purpose’ association and the only group to be affiliated with the national and international angel investor network and is a place where great ideas connect with smart money, connecting founders to funders.

Opening of 37 St Georges Terrace

August 2018

This convenient location is at the centre of everything the CBD has to offer! With panoramic views to the east and south of the Swan River, Elizabeth Quay, Stirling Gardens, The Treasury Buildings, City of Perth Council House, the Supreme Court and Gardens.

The facility is newly refurbished and the space comprises a reception with concierge, a number of private offices from one person up to 7-person, meeting cubicles, a generous break-out space and two meeting rooms.

Opening of 53 Burswood Road

July 2018

53 Burswood Road occupies a prominent position on the corner of Burswood Road and Craig Street which is less than 400 metres from the intersection of Canning Highway, The Causeway, Albany Highway and Shepperton Road.

The ground floor lobby and first floor facility were refurbished in July 2018 and the space comprises a number of private offices, open plan co-working cubicles, a generous break-out and collaborative space and 3 purpose built meeting rooms.

Partnership with Innovate Australia

May 2018

Liberty began collaborating with Innovate Australia in May 2018 to promote innovation across the country. Innovate Australia works with industry, academia, and government to foster an environment of creativity and advancement.

Opening of purpose built Training & Conference Centre

March 2018

Liberty launched a 1200sqm state-of-the-art Training & Conference Centre at 197 St Georges Terrace in March 2018, offering nine purpose-built rooms for conferences, training, and corporate events.

Purpose built mixed use environment opens to include co-working, private offices and corporate solution.

May 2016

In May 2016 Level 21 at Allendale was opened to combine Private Offices and a purpose built Coworking facility, as well as a Corporate Solution for Valmont.

Expansion and Lease Restructuring

December 2015

To assist Mirvac with securing a much larger transaction Liberty successfully negotiated the surrender of level 25 and the acquisition of level 21.

Paul Miller joins the Executive Team

March 2013

The executive team was reinforced by the appointment of Paul Miller as Commercial Director in 2013. Paul brought 14 years industry experience, 9 of which he had previously worked directly with Jamie. He became Chief Operating Officer in October 2019.

Rapid Business Growth

May 2012

In May 2012, Liberty expanded by adding Level 14 at 197 St Georges Terrace, close to the resource giants such as Woodside, BHP & Rio Tinto, increasing its capacity to approximately 400 workstations and establishing itself as the largest serviced office operator in Perth.

4th July 2011 (Independence Day)

Liberty opened its first location on Level 24 at Allendale Square in July 2011. By October 2011, it had expanded to Level 25, providing over 250 workstations and three meeting rooms.

With a focus on client-centric solutions and strategic growth, Liberty has consistently evolved to meet the changing needs of businesses, becoming a trusted name in flexible workspace solutions.

Founded in 2010

Founded in 2010 by Jamie Vine, Liberty is an Australian owned and operated business. Jamie spent 15 years in senior positions in the serviced office industry across Europe, where he was instrumental in achieving some of the phenomenal growth experienced within the sector. It is this experience that has defined Liberty’s client centric proposition and launched the business into Australasia.
